May 26th 2015: Monie Love kicked of her new morning show Monie In The Mornings with a long sit down with Philly rapper Beanie Sigel to talk about everything from Jay Z and Rocafella Records, to why some people get rich and leave the hood.
He also brought Freeway and the real Rick Ross to the studio to talk about their upcoming projects.
Freeway Rick Rosswent from making millions in the dope game to facing a lifetime behind bars. Fate lands his way and after winning an appeal he was released from prison. He stopped by the station to talk about his new book “Rick Ross the Untold Autobiography,” as well as his trials and tribulations of being in the dope game. He also spoke on possibly working with rapper Rick Ross in the future, if it ever became a reality. Check out the video below.

On May 30th 2015, Philadelphia’s Festival Pier turned into an eclectic shuffle of the iTunes as music lovers of all ages packed into the tiny space to hear the sounds from some of their favorite artist. The 8th Annual Roots Picnic was once again a success as the sold out show didn’t end till somewhere near midnight.
