Remember growing up when you were considered lit just for throwing a neighborhood party for your birthday?

Well, imagine if you had Megan Thee Stallion crash your Sweet Sixteen.

It almost seems surreal right?

That’s exactly what happened to young Philly-native, Malasha last week when friends and family surprised her at her birthday party, with a pop-up visit from Megan.

Malasha, whose friends call her Lay, says she knew her parents asked a family friend down at RocNation to book Meg for the party, but she did not believe the rapper would actually show up.

“The one thing that really shocked me is when we were talking she said, ‘I was really nervous to me you.’ I’m like me?”

The hot girl rapper showed up to the party sporting a denim piece from her new collection with FashionNova.

The 16-year-old Philly native says that since the whole interaction, people have been blowing up her phone non-stop.

Along with a visit from Megan, Malasha was also gifted with a Chanel purse, Rolex, and brand new Range Rover for her sixteenth birthday.

The City of Philadelphia is making strides in the right direction!

On Wednesday, Mayor Kenny announced that Philadelphia will waive all protest-related code violation notices issued from demonstrations surrounding police brutality.

The waiver applies to any code violation notices given out between May 30 and June 30, including those for all forms of disorderly conduct as well as failure to disperse and curfew violations.

“My decision to waive these violations is not a statement on the validity of the individual citations,” Kenney said. “Rather, it is a recognition of the core concerns that caused thousands to demonstrate on the streets of Philadelphia. In waiving these notices, I recognize that those issues are vitally important, that the pain of those marching is very real, and that their message — Black lives matter — needs to be heard every day until systemic racism is fully eradicated from this city and nation.”

Anyone who has been issued a CVN and hasn’t paid won’t be held accountable. Those who have already paid the CVN and would like a refund can contact OAR at 215-567-2605.

Now, this is not to get confused with a get-out-of-jail-free card!

Those facing criminal matters with the District Attorney’s Office will still be held accountable.

A New Jersey man is behind bars after he coughed on a grocery store employee before telling her he’s been diagnosed with the coronavirus.

Free hold resident George Falcone, 50, has been charged with making terrorist threats, harassment and obstruction in connection with the incident, which occurred Sunday in a Wegmans grocerty outlet in Manalapan, police say. The employee asked Falcone to step back, saying he was standing too close to an open display of prepared food, according to court documents. Instead, Falcone stepped forward and “purposely coughed” in her face, laughing. He then told her he’d been infected by the coronavirus, the documents reveal.

Attorney General Gurbir Grewal says people need to be considerate of each other during the coronavirus crisis and not “engage in intimidation and spread fear, as alleged in this case.”

The couple first got Ellen’s attention after Austin, an LGBTQ+ influencer, asked both DeGeneres and Chrissy Teigen to be a part of their wedding by walking her down the aisle via Tweeter.

Austin explained that her parents did not approve of her marriage to Sulsenti and as a result, refused to attend her big day.

“My mom was terrible. I’ve been out for almost five years now and, she has said everything you can think of under the sun,” said the Philadelphia native.

DeGeneres, in her normal generous fashion, featured the tweet on her show in a segment called “Show Me Your Tweets,” where she later surprised the couple by inviting them on stage to reenact their engagement with family.

Although DeGeneres said that she was unable to attend the wedding, she offered the couple a cardboard cutout of herself, along with a $25,000 check from Shutterfly to supply their open bar.

Ellen ended the segment by giving words of encouragement to the couple and those who may be experiencing similar circumstances.

“You are loved by so many people and, we love you for who you are exactly.”

Ellen has been an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community since 1977 when she first came out in her self-titled sitcom Ellen.
