In case you forgot, Busta still rhymes. His latest single serves as a hefty reminder.

“Ni**as want me to bust-a-rhymes / So ironic it’s Busta Rhymes,” he raps. “So iconic, ni**as can’t f**k with the kid / You know the logic.”

“AAAHHH!!!” features Swizz Beatz and follows his recent signing to Epic Records. In case you’ve been under a rock, he’s also on the latest (and last) A Tribe Called Quest album, and has done a few performances with the legendary rap group in support of the project.

Assuming his forthcoming album drops in 2017, this will be his first album in five years. Year of the Dragon dropped in 2012.

OutKast Performs for Dungeon Family Reunion Show

2016 ONE Musicfest

Source: Prince Williams / Getty

Even though new rumors of an OutKast reunion were shot down by Andre 3000, their performance over the weekend will surely be talked about for days to come.

Three Stacks and Big Boi ran through a list of their greatest hits at the ONE Musicfest in Atlanta as part of the Dungeon Family reunion that also brought together Goodie Mob (minus Khujo), Killer Mike, Sleepy Brown, Rico Wade, and other members of the Atlanta music collective.

Erykah Badu, A$AP Ferg, Ice Cube, T.I., Busta Rhymes and more also performed during the day-long music festival.

“But it was the reunion of Outkast – especially since Andre 3000, in a knit cap, pewter pullover and funky, round glasses appeared to actually enjoy himself — that kept the sold-out crowd on a steady buzz,” says a review of the concert from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

There is an update on the court case against Busta Rhymes after an incident with a gym employee.

According to The New York Times, Busta pleaded guilty to harassment in Manhattan Criminal Court this morning (Nov. 6).

The plead came following a deal the rapper made with prosecutors, according to The deal was to dismiss a complaint, which happened at Steel Gym in Chelsea. In August, the Brooklyn rapper was accused of throwing a bottle of Muscle Milk at a gym employee.

Rhymes was arrested after the altercation and charged with second-degree assault, a felony.

The Steel Gym employee received a bruise to his head after a dispute between the two. The Manhattan district attorney’s office reduced the charge to misdemeanor assault. They later agreed to allow Bus to plead guilty to harassment, which is a violation, on the condition that he attend anger management classes.

After the judgement, Rhymes noticed fans outside, whom he greeted. His lawyer also commented on the incident. “The criminal charges, especially charging him with a felony, was a bunch of bull,” Busta’s lawyer Scott Leemon said. “Busta and I are glad the district attorney’s office agreed to drop all the criminal charges.

SUNDAY PAPER: Darren Wilson Resigns; Jada Pinkett Smith’s Mom Puts Everyone To Shame & More

darren wilson

Darren Wilson is leaving the Ferguson Police Department amid continued tensions that he will no be indicted in Michael Brown‘s shooting death.

Just a day after a Ferguson grand jury opted to let him off the hook for killing the unarmed, retreating teen, Darren said that he did not regret his actions. Despite calls from his critics demanding that he be fired and jailed, the FPD has stood behind Darren.

The support of his co-workers aside, NPR reports that Darren has decided to resign from his position as an officer with the FPD. He made the announcement in a letter, where he wrote, “It is my hope that my resignation will allow the community to heal.”

Supposedly, he’d been informed that his continued employment would put his fellow officers and the community in danger. Darren later told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch yesterday, “I’m not willing to let someone else get hurt because of me.”

Although he was on paid administrative leave earlier this year, it looks like he’s going to have to find another means of income soon. According to The Huffington Post, Ferguson Mayor James Knowles has said that Darren will not be getting a severance package.

We thought all of the faces that Sasha and Malia Obama pulled during the Turkey Pardon were hilarious, but one White House staffer didn’t find it so funny. A Congressional Republican communications director Elizabeth Lauter decided that it was her duty to read President Barack Obama‘s daughters for their behavior, telling them to “dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar.” Hours later, once social media had sufficiently roasted her, Elizabeth took back for her criticisms. Busta Rhymes Stars In Toyota’s ‘Swagger Wagon’ Ad & Black Twitter Is NOT Having It!

Toyota gave Black Twitter plenty to cackle about when it proudly dropped the ill-conceived “Swagger Wagon” music video this weekend.

In an effort to make minivans cooler, the car company thought it might be a good idea to infuse their ad for the 2015 Sienna with some hip-hop…and they were wrong. So. Incredibly. Wrong.

The commercial features a white suburban family rapping about the Toyota vehicle and how it fits into their oh-so-tame lifestyle. It’s complete with picket fences, heavily monitored language and rhymes about how lame they are.

MUST READ: Nicki Shades Iggy (We Think), #BustaRhymesLooksLike + More Epic BET Awards Moments

The video, which Toyota released Sunday, has left me with several questions: Did these people seriously just hit the superman? What in the hell was the marketing department thinking? How far back into the hip-hop stereotype timeline did they have to reach to find those satin track suits?! Was this ad a rejected concept from Katy Perry‘s latest music video?

The biggest mystery was trying to figure out what possessed Busta Rhymes to lend his skills and ridiculous flow to “Swagger Wagon.” Hopefully, Busta got a whole fleet of Toyota vehicles along with staggering amount of money for his verse. Whether the masses hate it or love it, Toyota’s got to be ecstatic over all the free publicity its viral video is raking in.

As soon as “Swagger Wagon” hit the Internet, Black Twitter went in! Plenty of people had thoughts on the video, ranging from snarky cracks about Busta’s career and the state of hip-hop to general annoyance with the concept.
