Rick Ross Makes Major Announcement On The Status Of MMG After Meek Vs. Wale

Rick Ross isn’t going to let his empire crumble because Meek Mill’s trigger-fingers-turned-Twitter-fingers-turned-Instagram-fingers were unable to control themselves and decided to prematurely kick Wale out of MMG.

As we reported earlier this week, the two emcees got into a social media beef after Wale went on The Breakfast Club to defend Meek in his lyrical battle with Drake. Meek then took Wale’s words and went in on Instagram, telling the “Girls On Drugs” rapper to jump off a roof while declaring he wasn’t “MMG No More.”

Ross quickly jumped in to squash the beef, but now he’s made a video.

“You know we on fire as usual… Young Meek Mill, Young Wale, the family is good, Ya dig,” he says. Ross then goes on to explain that Maybach Music will be dropping a project together in the very near future titled Self Made 4.

Nothing to see here, folks.

Wale Responds To Meek Mill’s Rant, Says MMG Still Going Strong

Rick Ross 'Mastermind' Listening Event

Meek Mill shook up the Internet last night when he went on an Instagram rant blasting Wale for his comments regarding the Drake beef during his interview with The Breakfast Club.

Meek told his followers that Wale isn’t MMG anymore. But it looks like Meek didn’t have all the information, because Rick Ross and Wale both confirmed he’s still a part of Maybach Music. Ricky Rozay posted a clip from Wale’s performance on his Instagram saying, “never question the EMPIRE.”

Meanwhile, Wale brushed Meek’s diss off by letting his Twitter fingers run while responding to fans and standing by his words.

Wale even took it one step further by joking with a fan about jumping off a roof, like Meek suggested.

Beefing with Drake was one thing, but causing problems with your own crew? Let’s hope this doesn’t turn into a Cash Money situation…

Wale attends Tidal X: MEEK MILL at Mondrian Hotel on June 26, 2015

Wale is dating one of the hottest young actresses in television right now. At least that’s according to Entertainment Tonight, who’s reporting that Empire’s Serayah and the Maybach Music artist are an item.

ET claims the two have been dating since June and are working on building a long-term relationship. Even with their busy schedules, they still make sure to see each other every few weeks.

Wale and the 20-year-old Serayah have been keeping a low profile, and the D.C. emcee is having a great year. He has one of the best albums of 2015 and he’s friends with Jerry Seinfeld, who is on record calling Wale one of his favorite rappers.

Serayah – who plays Tiana Brown on the hit FOX show and is also a singer – apparently feels “Spoiled.” So much so, she tweeted a Wale song of the same name:

Maybe we’ll see this new couple front row at a WWE event really soon?

Young Money first lady Nicki Minaj and MMG rapper Meek Mill have been dodging rumors of a break up for about a week now and their silence on the issue has only seemed to fuel the speculation that they are no longer a couple. However, as the saying goes, things aren’t always what they seem.

While neither of the two have directly spoken out to confirm or deny the rumblings of a split, Nicki seems to be using her social media accounts to subliminally send the message that all is well in the land of #OMeeka. She sent this tweet from her Twitter account on Monday once the break up rumors kicked back into high gear.

In case that wasn’t quite enough of a confirmation that things were all good between she and Meek, she also used her Instagram page to promote the upcoming U.S. leg of her “Pink Print tour, which includes Meek as well as a few other popular young rappers.

Nicki later seemed to solidify that her “taken” status is still in effect with this photo & caption, quoting lyrics from Meek’s brand new single, “Check.”

If these two aren’t still together, then they sure are working over time to make it seem that way.

Meek Mill Suing The City Of Philadelphia For Wrongful Arrest In 2012

Meek

Courtesy of SOHH Dot Com

Meek Mill is suing the city of Philadelphia because of a wrongful arrest back in 2012 that caused him to lose roughly $2M in revenue.  He was set to board a private jet to Atlanta when cops stopped and arrested him after he refused to be searched.  Meek had to cancel a jet flight and a performance in Atlanta because of the arrest.  The bad publicity from the arrest even affected him at the bargaining table when he was at the time in negotiations with the athletic shoe company Puma and instead of getting a deal around $2M, he had to settle for $650K.  Therefore, Meek is suing the city for false imprisonment and invasion of privacy.  For more info on the story click below!

Rick Ross Defeats Rick Ross In Court Over Name

Rick-Ross-Apology

Courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter

Rapper Rick Ross has won a lawsuit filed against him by former drug kingpin ‘Freeway’ Ricky Ross over the use of the Rick Ross name.  The judge ruled that William Leonard Roberts (rapper Rick Ross) is protected under First Amendment rights.

“We recognize that Roberts’ work—his music and persona as a rap musician—relies to some extent on plaintiff’s name and persona, …..”Roberts chose to use the name ‘Rick Ross.’ He raps about trafficking in cocaine and brags about his wealth. These were ‘raw materials’ from which Roberts’ music career was synthesized. But these are not the ‘very sum and substance’ of Roberts’ work”. -Judge Boren THR

“Roberts created a celebrity identity, using the name Rick Ross, of a cocaine kingpin turned rapper,” he was not simply an impostor seeking to profit solely off the name and reputation of Rick Ross. Rather, he made music out of fictional tales of dealing drugs and other exploits—some of which related to plaintiff. Using the name and certain details of an infamous criminal’s life as basic elements, he created original artistic works.”-Judge Boren THR
