XXXTentacion’s Mom Tries to Block Baby Mama’s Attempt to Obtain Late Rapper’s DNA

Source: /

XXXTentacion’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard is trying to block Jenesis Sanchez from obtaining the late rapper’s DNA to prove paternity of their child, Gekyume.

Since the documents are sealed on the case it’s unknown why Bernard is trying to block the DNA from being released to Sanchez.

Bernard was the first person to announce that Sanchez was pregnant with X’s baby, shortly after he was murdered last June.

Sanchez filed documents where she stated that she and X lived together and had sexual relations and although they weren’t married and no one is questioning paternity, Sanchez says she just wants concrete proof that XXXTentacion is the father of Gekyume.

Cam’Ron Exposes The Real Reason Why Mase Became A Pastor

Cam’ron has ammo for days when it comes to putting his former comrades secrets on blast.

Just a month after going in on Jim Jones in an Instagram Live rant, Killa Cam returned to the social platform to call out his old friend Mase. In the video, Cam stressed to his followers the importance of keeping prayer and God in your life. Then, the Harlem rapper used Mase as an example of not keeping balance and taking things to the extreme, just to avoid real life controversies.

He said, “See that’s what Mase did. Mase went real wild. Mase said, ‘You know what? I’m gonna just start saying I’m in church.’ Mase took it too far though — started preaching and all that s**t. I see what he was doing with that s**t. He’s like, ‘You know what? N****s ain’t gonna motherf**king harass me if I’m in church. That’s what Ma$e did. He said, ‘Yo, they can’t beef with me, they can’t ask me for nothing. I’m gonna throw on the Rev. Run collar and get the f**k out of here. F**k that.”

But Cam switched gears in the middle of his rant, adding that now he realizes all of the pressure the Bad Boy Records rap star had with so much money at such a young age and it makes sense to him. He explained, “Can’t even get mad at Ma$e. You know why? Let me tell you something. I used to be mad at Ma$e because I was younger than Ma$e. But, I know n****s 28, 29, 30 that can’t handle having $10 million. That n***a Mase was 22 years old with $10 million, my n***a. He went triple-platinum when he was 21 years old, my n***a, that’s a lot to handle.”

You Won’t Believe What Kodak Black Said To Threaten Lil Wayne

Kodak Black

Source: Atlantic Records

Since coming home from jail last year, Kodak Black has wasted no time saying exactly how he feels.

Just last month, he took to Twitter to declare that he’s the best rapper alive over Lil Wayne and now he’s sending threats to the veteran rapper. In lieu of Soulja Boy and Chris Brown‘s beef heading to a boxing match, Kodak challenged the Young Money CEO to meet him in the ring, XXL reports.

He said in a new video, “Ay listen here man. Tell Lil Wayne fight me, know what I’m saying. We finna get in the ring, we finna fight — me and Lil Wayne. I’m finna knock that stupid a– n—a out. And if he whoop me, he the best rapper alive, ya heard me?”

He continued on while in the studio with A Boogie, saying, “Tell Lil Wayne fight me in the ring. And I’m gon’ beat his stupid a– and I bet everything on it. Since Soulja Boy and Chris Brown doing it, I don’t even need no trainer. I don’t need Floyd Mayweather, Adrien Broner,” Black rants. “I’m finna beat Lil Wayne stupid a–, watch!”

Kodak then posted another random clip to Twitter, saying, “Lil Wayne can eat my a–.”

A few months back, Wayne revealed that he had no idea who Kodak Black, Lil Yachty or Lil Uzi Vert was. Maybe this will grab his attention.

UPDATE: CeeLo Green Comes Clean, Exploding Phone was Hoax [VIDEO]

[ione_media_gallery id=”3622017″ overlay=”true”]
Wow! Yesterday CeeLo Green had his fans terrified when video surfaced of the rapper / singer / producer collapsing after his cell phone exploded in his face, only to come clean just a few hours later with the truth.

Many social media commenters questioned the authenticity of the disturbing video, wondering if it was staged or real. The empathetic (and maybe a little gullible) chose to believe the clip was legitimate and that CeeLo was in store for a hefty lawsuit. Satire and gossip sites even went so far as to report the make and model of the cell phone responsible for the supposed accident, which we later found out wasn’t real at all!

Finally, ‘The Voice’ judge took to Facebook Live late Saturday night to explain that the video was just a snippet from an upcoming project he’s working on for a new album. The album, set to release some time in 2017, will be called “Gnarley Davidson” according to CeeLo in the video clip below.

While he seemed humbled by all the genuine concern for his safety and wellbeing, shame on CeeLo for scaring us like that!

What do you think of this prank? Effective and funny (since he’s now gotten two articles from us) or stupid and too far? Sound off below!

Remy Ma Evokes Editorial Edge For Paper Magazine

Remy Ma looks fab for Paper Magazine, dropping her industry wisdom and encouraging women to elevate and note hate, against each other.

The rapper gives off glasses glam, wearing a Kenzo white architectural avant garde blouse, paired with a Saint Laurent sequined jumpsuit and Tom Ford glasses. Fire!

The Bronx-bred rapper gets real about the industry, “It’s sad to say, but I’m gonna say it: I don’t feel like much has changed for women in hip-hop, not only since I was in prison, but since I started in the game. There’s still so much discord between females in the game, whether it’s spoken or unspoken.

Remy laments about her ability to collaborate with Fat Joe, whom she has a joint album, Plata O Plomo, comes out in January. She admits that it’s more difficult for women to create such projects and saddening that none exist. (I mean, there is Brandy and Monica, but we all know how this has turned out).

Nevertheless, Remy Ma is doing her part. She reveals she just became a founding member of The Wing, a women’s only space. She recalls, “I remember at the first event, I was there and it felt so good to see these different women together not hating on each other. No one had to ‘put on.’ No one was tearing each other down. It was a beautiful thing. Anything that makes women want to uplift each other, I want to be a part of.

Remy Ma is preparing for a busy 2017, with a new season of Love And Hip Hop New York as well as her own solo project, 7 Winters and 6 Summers.

The Latest Update On Kodak Black’s Criminal Sex Case

Kodak Black

Source: Atlantic Records

Kodak Black is on his way to facing a sex charge in South Carolina, according to the latest updates on his case. Originally being held in St. Lucie, Florida, the rapper’s prison transfer was officially approved at the start of this week.

The Sun-Sentinel reports, “Black, whose given name is Dieuson Octave, faces a charge of criminal sexual conduct in Florence, South Carolina. He appeared in an extradition hearing on Nov. 21, where a judge approved his transfer.”

When asked about Kodak’s status, St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Deputy Bryan Beaty said on Monday, “It does say that he has been turned over to South Carolina via the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.”

The site continues, “For Octave, legally speaking, it’s two down and one more to go. After spending a few months in the Broward Main Jail, he dodged a potentially lengthy prison sentence in August when a judge, citing his potential as a hip-hop artist, gave him a chance to redeem himself, sentencing him to house arrest and clearing the way for his immediate release.”

The reaction among his supporters in the courtroom, which included his mother, as well as Atlantic Records executives who flew down from New York to vouch for him, was one of elation. But when he was about to be released, deputies at the jail discovered two outstanding warrants, one involving a misdemeanor drug-related case in St. Lucie County, and the other, a sex charge from South Carolina. So the Broward jail was where he remained.

In South Carolina, a criminal sexual conduct charge means a victim could be forced to have sex through aggravated force, during a kidnapping or while physically helpless due to the influence of a controlled substance, the Sun-Sentinel reports. It carries a punishment of up to 30 years in prison.

We will continue to keep you updated as more news surfaces about Kodak Black’s case.

Is there anything Shia LaBeouf can’t do?

On Friday, the actor stopped by Sway in the Morning and totally killed the “Five Fingers of Death” freestyle. LaBeouf rapped over legendary beats from artists like Missy Elliott, Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg and The Notorious B.I.G.

In one rhyme, he recites, “1Oak, that’s a dumb club/I don’t go there, but I get dumb love/Legend bitch, trash you heard, that’s all alleged bitch/Plagiarists stay makin’ shit/Greatest gifts come from painful shit/Truth is? I’mma true G/Only white kid with Big in a Coogi tatted to me/And Tupac too, and Missy on my two knees/Dude, please askin’ bout my tats like a groupie/Whenever the truth’s required, I’m hired/I’m the go-to guy for fire.”

The Transformers star has always had a knack for rapping. We can’t forget Shia’s time with the D-Tent Boys from one of his first films, Holes.

Icon! Jay Z Makes Music History Once Again

Puff Daddy And The Family Bad Boy Reunion Tour Presented By Ciroc Vodka And Live Nation - May 20

In the words of Jay Z, “difficult takes a day, impossible takes a week” – and there’s nothing impossible for the hip-hop mogul.

Hov is among 24 nominees for the 2017 Songwriters Hall of Fame, becoming the first rapper ever to be nominated for the honor, USA Today reports. Songwriters become eligible for induction into the organization after having a songwriting career that spans at least 20 years. For Jay, the timing was absolutely perfect; his debut album Reasonable Doubt was released in 1996.

Fellow nominees include Madonna, Bryan Adams, George Michael, Gloria Estefan, Cat Stevens, Sylvester “Sly Stone” Stewart, and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, to name a few. The chosen group of five individual writers or writing teams will be inducted in a ceremony in June.

Meet Levi Carter, One Of The Sickest Rising Stars On Roc Nation’s Roster

Levi Carter

Bronx-born, Virginia based artist Levi Carter is one of Roc Nation’s newest and finest, but he’s modest like he didn’t just slaughter Budweiser’s Made In America Tidal stage one month ago. What’s more is the fact that this weekend he’ll be sharing the same stage as some of the biggest musicians in the world at the TIDAL X: 1015 benefit concert. I’m talking some of the most famous names there are: Beyonce, Common, Robin Thicke, Nicki Minaj, Alicia Keys, Lauryn Hill, and the list goes on and on.

Earlier this week, I got the opportunity to chat with the “You Not Gang” rapper and talk about what it feels like to be on that roster and cosigned by Jay Z, how moving to V.A inspired his standout debut album ANTISOCIAL, what it’s like to be the new kid on the block, and how he’s preparing for this weekend’s star-studded concert. 22-year-old Carter has been working hard since he first started doing music in ’08 and what I learned is eight years later, he’s here, he’s humble, but he’s playing for keeps.

Get in on some of our chat, plus some must-see Made In America footage below.

GG: On why the move to V.A. made him so ANTISOCIAL:

Levi: “It’s really just the way Virginia is. There’s nothing to do there. Living in Virginia, your path gets picked for you – it’s either you sell drugs, you play basketball, you play football, you go to the military, or you go to the shipyard. Those are the only things you can do and I’ve literally witnessed people growing up only wanting to be in those types of situations because that’s what the state offers. That, in itself, and randomly always having to get myself out of a lot of situations made me not want to mess with people on a certain level and instead, just stay to myself – and stay with the people that I generally hung around with or grew up with, that I knew were loyal too.”

On whether or not he fears becoming the focus of public attention:

“No. Not at all, honestly. That was never my goal, anyway, to be famous. That’s not even my focus – I just want to make music, that’s all that I’m here for. I know that it comes with [fame], so it is what it is… I’m mentally prepared for it.”

On Jay Z being one of his greatest inspirations and his favorite songs/albums from him:

“‘Feelin’ it’ and ‘Can I live’ – but with Hov, it’s more about albums for me because I love Hov. The whole Reasonable Doubt, Vol. 2… Hard Knock LifeThe Blueprint – each album of his really put you in a different mind frame. That’s why Hov is one of the biggest inspirations to me.”

On what it’s like to now be a Roc Nation artist, performing on the same stages as a lot of the artists he’s always admired:

“It’s crazy, it’s insane honestly! I rarely get to sit down and really think ‘Man I’m signed to Jay Z,’ you know what I’m saying? It’s very rare. I might be in a conversation with somebody and as they’re talking to me, I’m like ‘Man, I am signed to Jay Z. It’s crazy that I’m saying this right now, but it’s true.’”

Carter makes a quick comparison, “Back in the day, there used to be a lot of people – especially coming out of Virginia – people would always say ‘Man, you know I’m Michael Vick’s my cousin.’ Michael Vick is not your cousin (laughs). It’s kind of like one of those situations. Growing up as a kid, imagine me saying ‘Man I’m signed to Jay Z!’ ‘Man you not signed to him,’” he says people would have responded. “But I really am signed to Jay!”

On what he’s working to prove:

“I want to be able to beat myself in every aspect. At first, I wanted to be bigger than what everybody thought about me. But now, I’m just going against myself. I love music so I’m working, I’m putting out music, but as long as I love it – that’s how I feel. I want my fans to gravitate to it, of course, but first you got to love your own music and your music has to be life changing to you. Then you just got to hope that other people are going to gravitate towards it. I feel like if I like my own music then you should like it too!”

A little later in our conversation he adds, “I do feel like I’m different, I don’t feel like I have anything to prove. I just want to keep going! I want to keep going and prove to myself that I can do this. I proved to a lot of people that I can get here – now I just got to prove to myself that I can stay here.”

On the Tidal X: 1015 concert and what he’s stressing out about most (What to wear? What to perform? The other acts?)

“Growing up I’ve seen flyers with Beyonce’s name on them and never thought I’d be on one,” Carter says in a moment of sheer disbelief. “It’s really amazing, for real. I do think a lot about what I’ll wear though, I’m gonna come clean!” he reveals laughing. “I’m excited!”

He hasn’t made any final decisions about his ‘fit yet, though: “Nah, I really don’t know. I’ll probably wear some vintage tee. I look to my brother for a lot of my inspiration. We style ourselves, we don’t have a stylist. We been rocking a lot of stuff – and I look to my homies for inspiration, ’cause we been dressing. I don’t really look to the outside world for [inspiration].” His mind trails back to the show’s roster. “But, I’m really excited to perform alongside the biggest names in the world. It’s super crazy to even be a part of something like this – that’s my mindset right now. I don’t even think I’ve thought about it yet. It’s probably not gonna sink in until Saturday morning when I’m on the way there and I’m like ‘This is really real.”

Romeo Miller Wants People To Put Some ‘Respeck’ On Bow Wow’s Career

Romeo Miller 2015 Summer TCA Tour - Day 13

Romeo Miller is only 26-years-old, but he has seen his fair share of drama in the music industry.

Romeo, aka Lil Romeo, began his rap career as a youngin’ and was known to have beef with kiddie rap’s reigning king at the time, Lil Bow Wow. But recently, Romeo took to Instagram to defend his former rival after social media slandered Bow Wow for saying he plans to retire from rap:

Romeo basically told the world to put some respeck on Bow Wow’s name and all of his pre-social media era accomplishments. He wrote, The funny thing is, I never looked at Bow as competition. The world made it that way. Sadly this generation only cares about now, and oddly laughs at history. My pops always taught me to give people their roses while they could still smell them.”

The post comes just days after Bow Wow announced his retirement from music to focus on TV and movies.

Is This The End? Azealia Banks Quits The Internet ‘For Good’

Logo NewNowNext Awards 2013 - Arrivals

Rapper Azealia Banks is quitting social media “for good,” according to a post the 25-year-old put on Facebook this past Monday.

Banks, well-known for her ongoing online beefs with T.I., Iggy Azalea, and Skai Jackson, sent the Internet over the edge after tweeting homophobic and racist slurs in reference to former One Direction singer Zayn Malik—at which point her account was suspended.

Before getting her Twitter shut down, Banks also managed to piss the BeyHive off. When Beyoncé dropped her groundbreaking visual album Lemonade, Banks tweeted, “She’s not an artist, she’s a poacher.”

Now, Banks says she’s setting social media aside – but of course, everyone else is to blame for why. “I’m seriously tired of peoples feelings,” she begins before explaining she doesn’t want to be told how to behave.

After listing all her grievances, the rapper leaves us with, “My legacy can’t live and die on the internet. Goodbye. For good.”

Well… that happened.

WATCH: Juvenile Allegedly Punches Waffle House Customer

Just as Lil Wayne name-drops the Hot Boys in Ariana Grande’s new single “Let Me Love You,” fellow former group member Juvenile makes headlines for allegedly punching a Waffle House customer.

In the footage released by TMZ on Monday, May 16, the “Slow Motion” rapper can be seen punching a man who supposedly called his girlfriend a “hoe.” The gossip site reports: “Juvenile attacked a man at a Waffle House in South Carolina Friday night after the customer saw the rapper walk in and said, ‘Juvenile here, here come all the hoes now.’”

According to an eyewitness in the area on Friday, “Juvenile was with his girlfriend and his posse when the guy made the comment, and clearly felt his girlfriend had been insulted. Seconds later, Juvenile and some of his boys jumped the customer and beat him … as the surveillance video shows.”

The site goes on to say that Juvenile and the customer left following the brawl and there was no report filed; no one was available to complain once cops arrived an hour later.
