For the record, Richard Sherman is someone who has the utmost respect both for his excellence on the field and off it. But just as Sherman has the right to have an opinion on social matters, people have a right to disagree and tell him why his views may be well, missing the mark.

As reported by Deadspin, Sherman was recently asked about ‘Black Lives Matter’ recently and said while he agreed with the fundamental premise, he went on to discuss ‘Black on Black crime’ and why Black lives should matter to us.

Of course this is a derailment that we’ll all heard before. And apart from Sherman’s teammate, Michael Bennet publicly disagreeing with him as the Deadspin article discusses, ESPN’s Michael Smith called him out perfectly on it. Smith pointed out the fallacy that is ‘Black lives matter’ and how crime is about proximity i.e. White people commit crimes within White communities but no one ever talks about ‘White on White crime.’  See the video below:

Talk about church!

We hope Sherman has learned from the incident because truly Black lives matter, and we don’t need to apologize for saying it in any context in any shape or form.

The Seattle Seahawks cornerback’s girlfriend Ashley Moss gave birth to their first son early Thursday morning. Sherman Tweeted about his firstborn’s coincidental arrival, given that his jersey number is 25.

Media had speculated that Sherman might miss Sunday’s big game because Moss might go into labor then. However, he managed to appear at Super Bowl XLIX, in his team’s shocking 28-24 loss to the New England Patriots.

According to a Tweet by Peter King by Sports Illustrated, the couple has named their son Rayden. Congrats, Sherman!

New Parenting: Father gives his son a bald head as a punishment [Poll]

Too many of our children are growing up learning their ABC’s but somehow forgetting their P’s and Q’s. The disrespectful things coming out of their mouths are unbelievable and surprising.  Their attitudes are nasty and outlandish. Seeing this on a daily bases encouraged Snellville Georgia barber to come up with a solution. (super hero theme music)

Russell Frederick, the co-owner of A-1 Kutz Salon has come up with an idea of shaving his sons head bald after his son was receiving bad grades and misbehaving. He gave him the ‘George Jefferson’. The haircut made famous by “The Jefferson’s” Sherman  Hemsley. Russell stated that his son never misbehaved again after that and his grades improved.

Russell Frederick is receiving a lot of positive feedback from his community.  The hair cut style is in high demand among parents who need help disciplining their children.  Frederick stated that the parents are telling him, “It takes a village to raise a child”.

If the kid’s want to act grown we should give them grown up hair cuts.

Is this a fair punishment for a child?

Charles Barkley Slams ‘Unintelligent,’ ‘Brainwashed’ Black People

No stranger to controversial statements, NBA Hall of Famer turned sports commentator, Charles Barkley, blamed stagnation in the Black community on “brainwashed” Black people too “unintelligent” to choose education over street credibility.

During an appearance on Philadelphia’s “Afternoons with Anthony Gargano and Rob Ellis” radio show, Sir Charles responded to a Bleacher Report article claiming that teammates of Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson felt that he wasn’t “Black enough.”

Seahawks’ cornerback Richard Sherman denied the locker room racism, telling CBS Sports, “Nobody in here said that. It’s made up.”

Wilson also brushed off the story, saying, “Black enough? I don’t even know what that means. I’m just an educated, well-spoken male.”

Though Barkley’s comments were made before the report was denied, that does little to change the crux of his sweeping statement, which is that Black people believe education and Blackness are mutually exclusive.

“We as black people are never going to be successful, not because of you white people, but because of other black people. When you are black, you have to deal with so much crap in your life from other black people,” Barkley said.

“For some reason we are brainwashed to think, if you’re not a thug or an idiot, you’re not black enough. If you go to school, make good grades, speak intelligent, and don’t break the law, you’re not a good black person. It’s a dirty, dark secret in the black community.

“There are a lot of black people who are unintelligent, who don’t have success. It’s best to knock a successful black person down because they’re intelligent, they speak well, they do well in school, and they’re successful. It’s just typical BS that goes on when you’re black, man.”

Barkley also raised eyebrows when he said that he agreed with George Zimmerman being found not guilty in February 26, 2012 slaying of unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

I agree with the verdict,” Barkley told CNBC’s Maria Bartiromo. “I’m sorry that young kid got killed, but they didn’t have enough evidence to charge him.”

“Trayvon Martin, God rest his soul, he did flip the switch and start beating the hell out of Mr. Zimmerman.” He added that he “feels bad” that the trial gave “every white person and black person who is racist the platform to vent their ignorance. That’s the thing that bothered me the most. I watched this trial closely. I watched these people on television talking about it. A lot of these people have a hidden agenda. They want to have their racist views, whether they are white or black… They’re biases come out.”

In another incident, Barkley piggybacked on the myth that there are more Black men in jail than college — a lie comprehensively and methodically exposed by Dr. Ivory Toldson – Barkley explained why Black men need to be armed to protect themselves from other Black men:

“You know, we as black people always, we don’t have respect for one another. You know, we’ve got more black men in prison than we do in college, and crime in our neighborhoods is running rampant.”

Recently, Barkley defended accused child abuser Adrian Peterson by saying that whipping children isn’t abuse, it’s a Southern thing:

“I don’t believe that because, listen, we spank kids in the south,” Barkley said. “I think the question about did Adrian Peterson go overboard? But we all grew up in different environments. Every black parent in my neighborhood in the south would be in trouble, or in jail under those circumstances.”

So, in life according to Barkley, Black people are unintelligent, crabs-in-a-barrel who should carry guns to protect ourselves from each other, whip our children and be nice to dangerous White-identifying men who stalk us on rainy nights.

Got it.

Calling A Black Man “A Thug” Means Your Actually Calling Him The N-Word

Screen shot 2014-01-23 at 9.48.20 AM

If you follow NFL football then you’ve seen the meme’s and video clips or Richard Sherman and his post playoff game rant after the Seahawks beat the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game. His loud and brash post game interview has America calling him “A Thug,” and a hoodlum, but how are people justifying calling this Stanford University graduate a Thug?  Well I am here to tell you, if you call a black man “A Thug,” it means your actually calling him a nigger.

The N-word has been highly debated in the media over the past few months. Some using it as a tool to spark conversation about race relations in America. The racist side of America finds ways around the word, by dubbing someone who doesn’t fit there mold of  a normal black man a “Thug” and disgrace to his race. This is evident because black men like Richard Sherman are being called thugs without merit or basis. Twitter trolls attack his account with racism and hatred. The day after the Seahawks’ win, the word “thug” was uttered 625 times on American television.

In a recent interview Sherman was asked about  his critics’ use of the word “thug.”

“The only reason it bothers me is because it seems like it’s the accepted way of calling somebody the N-word nowadays. Because they know.”

Man We Owe Richard Sherman An Apology For 2 Reasons…

Reason #1

We all saw the exchange between Sherman and 49er’s Crabtree, but did we really?  I say this because now the sound has be released of what Sherman said to Crabtree as he patted him on the booty and well Crabtree this dont look good for you

[ione_embed src=// service=youtube width=560 height=315 type=iframe]

Yep you heard right “Hell of a game”  That’s it! And Crabtree grabs his helmet!?!?

Reason #2

[ione_embed src=// service=youtube width=560 height=315 type=iframe]

Erin Andrews the reporter who was interviewing Sherman came quickly to his defense saying,

“I don’t want this to look like I was upset with him, I was frightened, I felt threatened, we all like Richard Sherman a lot at Fox,” Andrews told For The Win. “At that moment I saw how crazy it was going to blow up, and I wanted to make sure people knew it wasn’t a situation where I’m a victim and he acted like an idiot.

“You expect these guys to play like maniacs and animals for 60 minutes,” she said. “And then 90 seconds after he makes a career-defining, game-changing play, I’m gonna be mad because he’s not giving me a cliché answer, ‘That’s what Seahawks football is all about and that’s what we came to do and we practice for those situations.’ No you don’t. That was awesome. That was so awesome. And I loved it.”

However she was injured during the exchange…..

“I walked in front of an interview that was going on because I knew we were coming on live,” she said. “He looked up, realized it was me and he gave me this giant bear hug because he was so excited … And he hugged me so hard I hit my chin on his pads. It was a raw, passionate, candid moment. That’s how pumped he was.”
