Woman Claims Usher Failed to Tell Her of Alleged Herpes Diagnosis

This looks like a situation similar to Bill Cosby’s and attorney Lisa Bloom is taking her bid in the situation.

Weeks after it was revealed Usher reportedly paid a woman $1.1 million in 2012 to settle a lawsuit after she claimed to have contracted herpes from him. After this report, three others are also suing the singer alleging he failed to warn them of his STD diagnosis.

Attorney Lisa Bloom, Blac Chyna’s representative, stated in a press release that she will file a lawsuit in California on Monday on behalf of the alleged victims.

This morning a third accuser spoke out a press conference Monday morning prior to the suit being filed.

“I love Usher’s artistry and music. I went to a concert of his with some friends a few years ago, to celebrate my birthday. I was wearing a birthday crown, and because of that I was selected to go backstage before the show. Later a security guard picked me up and asked me for my number. He told me Usher had seen me backstage and was interested in me. After the show, my friends and I returned to the hotel. I got a call from Usher on a blocked number, asking me what hotel I was staying in and the room number. About an hour later, he arrived. We spoke for awhile, and then we engaged in sexual contact,” Quantasia Sharpton, with Bloom by her side, said Monday at the New York Hilton Midtown.

Sharpton, who appeared calm as she gave her statement, continued, “He never warned me about any STDs. It was just after my 19th birthday. I never heard from him again. When I first heard reports that he had herpes, I couldn’t believe it. I had a child a year ago, and I knew I was negative. But I contacted Lisa Bloom to find out what my rights are as a woman. Although I am negative, I am upset by the reports because I never would have consented, if I would have known. I would not have taken a risk of getting an incurable disease. My health is very important to me, now that I am a mother. I feel that my rights were violated. I am speaking out today on behalf of myself and others, some of whom are positive and are embarrassed to speak out publicly. I am doing this so that he does not do this to anyone else. Usher, if you are negative, please say so. If you are positive, you need to warn your sex partners, so that they can make their own informed decisions.”

Bloom then took to the podium. “The law requires people with herpes warn their sexual partners or abstain from sex. Those are the only two choices,” she said. “Mr. Raymond has not publicly denied the reports that he was diagnosed with the virus in approximately 2009. Nor has he denied the reports that he had unprotected sex with a woman after his diagnosis and transmitted the virus to her without warning her, paying her a $1.1 million settlement in compensation for her injuries in 2012 … No one from Mr. Raymond’s team has publicly denied the accuracy of those documents.”

“If Mr. Raymond is in fact a carrier of the virus, as these reports state, my three clients allege that he violated their rights by failing to warn them prior to having sexual contact with them. At least one of my clients has tested posted for the virus and alleges that it was Mr. Raymond who transmitted it. News reports can be wrong, and only medical tests can answer the question here. But if Mr. Raymond is negative, by allowing this story to go unrebutted for weeks on end, he has caused many people to be concerned about their reproductive health,” the attorney continued. “Mr. Raymond has not reached out to any of them, directly or indirectly. They are not able to contact him, as they say he always contacted them from a blocked number. In these circumstances, which are unusual, if Mr. Raymond is negative, we call upon him to either contact all of his intimate partners since his diagnosis and notify them, or to make a public statement, so that people’s minds can be put to rest.”

Added Bloom, “By filing this lawsuit, we seek to ascertain the truth. We hope the reports are not true. We hope that Mr. Raymond is negative, and this can all be cleared up quickly. We hope that he has not knowingly endangered his sex partners — fans who revered him and were thrilled to receive his personal attention.”

According to court documents filed by the celebrity stylist, Usher was allegedly diagnosed with herpes in either 2009 or 2010. We will keep you all updated as this story unfolds.

Usher Paid $1.1M To “Bridesmaid” He Allegedly Infected With Herpes

Usher paid out $1.1 million to settle a lawsuit with a stylist who claimed he infected her with herpes, according to court documents.

Usher was diagnosed with herpes in 2009 or 2010, according to the court papers. However, Usher had unprotected sex with the claimant without confessing that he was carrying the virus.

In California it is  illegal to knowingly or recklessly transmit an STD. Usher allegedly told the victim he had tested negative for the virus, despite a “greenish discharge” from his penis, the court papers say.

“Believing Raymond’s statements that (the discharge) had been nothing and cleared up, (she) continued her relationship,” the legal docs said.

The claimant was later diagnosed with herpes, complete with vaginal sores, fevers and chills, she alleged in papers.

Usher paid some of the victim’s medical bills in 2012 and that’s when Usher’s doctor called the woman to tell her that Usher was carrying the virus.

The alleged victim was one of the bridesmaid in Usher and Tameka’s wedding. SMH

Usher Opens Up About Biggest Regret That Involves Chris Brown

2016 BET Experience

Usher has a career that spans of over 20 years, giving him the opportunity to drop eight studio albums and work with everyone from Beyoncé to Priyanka Chopra.

He talked about his amazing career on Questlove Supreme podcast where he touched on growing up fast, missed opportunities and his biggest career regret.

“So there’s one thing in my career that I definitely regret, one thing,” he said. “And to this day I battle with it which is why I always show support of this artist whenever he asks. So his manager comes in… They show him to me… I was working on an album at this time, they wanted him to perform on this album. I was like, Okay cool’. Then I went to my team and they was like ‘I don’t think you should work with this artist’… Then he left… Chris Brown.”

He also talks about a famous song that was initially written for him.

“When I first signed to LaFace Records, I wanted to do an album with Babyface and LA Reid, right? I signed specifically for that reason. So L.A. Reid wanted Babyface to work on me and they were going through, you know, a lot of drama at the time. They were kinda severing their ties… he got mad and he built an entire album for me, and he gave the whole album to somebody else… Tevin Campbell! ‘Can We Talk’ was my song.”

Despite the loss of ‘Can We Talk’, Usher has gone on to win eight Grammys with millions of albums sold. So we think that’s loss he got over.

Usher Returns To His R&B Roots On The Impressive ‘Hard II Love’

2016 BET Experience - Staples Center Concert presented by Bryson Tiller, Usher, Kelani, MadeinTko

My cheeks are illuminated with a rosy glow. A deep sigh brushes past my teeth and my chest compresses. That’s how Usher‘s new album makes me feel.

From the moment I heard “No Limit” at the 2016 BET Awards, where he first performed the Young Thug-assisted anthem, I knew Usher had returned to his R&B roots. Produced by B.A.M and Rock City, ‘No Limit’ is exactly what we’ve been craving from the ATL superstar.

Usher strays from the electronic dance music that plagued the last few years of his career on the long-awaited Hard II Love. It’s like he sat in the booth and said, ‘Gather ’round children of the game, here’s how you make good music.’ And with their noses pointed to the sky, sitting Indian style, they listened intently.

Usher is to this R&B generation what Kobe Bryant represents to the NBA (sans retirement). After all, this is the man who blessed us with Confessions, My Way and 8701.

Hard II Love marks the other side of a difficult transition for Usher. His prior three releases, Here I Stand, Raymond v Raymond, and Looking 4 Myself, were recorded after his failed marriage to Tameka Raymond. These albums lacked the cohesiveness of Confessions and ballads like ‘U Got It Bad’ on 8701. He seemed stuck in the mud, stifled somewhere between heartbreak and recovery.

Radio-friendly singles ‘New Flame’ and ‘Climax’ proved, if nothing else, the ‘Nice & Slow’ crooner could stay afloat the wave and release a timely sounding hit. But that formula doesn’t always equal success, as fans expect their favorite artists to evolve with and/or create the trends.

But Usher is in a new place, remarried to Grace Miguel, and at the blissful height of the honeymoon phase. He’s found his sweet spot on this project, which infuses a harmonious blend of new school vibes, sexy ballads and his signature falsetto.

During a live-listening session in L.A., Usher revealed he ‘went through an entire transformation as a man’ while recording Hard II Love. The three-year long process was a labor of love.

He taps producers The-Dream, Metro Boomin, Brandon “B.A.M.” Hodge, and songwriter Bibi Bourelly to lace Hard II Love with headboard banging beats and lyrics that will serenade your soul.

The opening track ‘Need U,’ grabs your attention from the beginning. ‘I f*cked up,’ he sings. ‘Don’t give em my love, you ain’t even like that/ What type of point you tryna’ prove/ You hate to admit it, but you still take me back/ All that shit you was talkin’ it don’t hold no wait.’

Hard II Love weaves intricate ’90s samples into songs like ‘Bump,’ which boldly uses the Uncle Luke’s ‘I Wanna Rock’ famous intro. INOJ’s ‘Let Me Love You Down’ provides a smooth melody on ‘Let Me.’

‘Tell Me’ is the standout among the 15 tracks. “This song is gonna get a lot of people pregnant,” Usher proclaimed. ‘Tell Me’ feels like sex in the jungle, under the night sky encapsulated in a jar with fire flies. His voice soars on the Geniuz League production.

‘Stronger’ chronicles Usher’s pain after the loss of his stepson Kile Glover. ‘Been through hell, now I’m helpful/Pouring cups of whiskey to get through it/Oh sweet child of mine, gone way too soon

Lost myself and lost my faith too,’ he sings on the uplifting track.

Hard II Love ends on a triumphant note with ‘Champions,’ featured in the ‘Hands Of Stone’ film starring Usher.
